The key idea

A notary title alone does not establish authority to give immigration legal advice.

Read the lesson

Being a notary public does not authorize someone to give U.S. immigration legal advice. For legal help, verify a lawyer’s license and good standing, or a representative’s current DOJ accreditation through a recognized organization. Do not rely on a job title, stamp or promise.

This is general education, not legal advice. Honest Path School is independent of USCIS. We do not file applications, decide your citizenship status, or promise approval. Government forms are free at uscis.gov. Use current official instructions for your next step.
