Read the lesson
For federal elections, you must be a U.S. citizen and meet the other applicable eligibility rules. Register only after you are a citizen, and follow your state’s requirements at vote.gov. Most N-400 applicants become citizens when they take the oath; other citizenship routes follow different rules.
This is general education, not legal advice. Honest Path School is independent of USCIS. We do not file applications, decide your citizenship status, or promise approval. Government forms are free at uscis.gov. Use current official instructions for your next step.
